This temple is situated at the top of a small hill with exceptional scenic beauty.  It can be reached within a few minutes from the Mutt.  The structure is a fine piece of architecture.  On the ceiling is carved a lotus bud.  The deities inside the temple are Lord Malahanikareshwara, goddess Bhavani, Sthambha Ganapathy, Chandikeshwara and Durga.  His Holiness Sri Abhinava Vidyatheertha Mahaswamiji, the 35th Jagadguru, added a spacious Navaranga Mandapa which consists of four beautiful pillars of the Vijayanagara type, containing beautifully carved images of various Gods and Goddesses such as Nrisimha, Virabhadra, Sri Rama, Subrahmanya, Venugopala, Hanuman, Kalingamardhana and Durga.  The Kumbhabhishekam was performed on Feb 11, 1985 by Sri Abhinava Vidya Theertha Mahaswamiji along with Sri Bharathi Theertha Mahaswamiji.
